Promises of being free from the 40 hour work week, working from home, and being your own boss makes network marketing an exciting option for some individuals. Network marketing, or working for a multi level marketing company can be profitable, but you have to do it right.
1. Believe in the product.
You can not sell anything unless you fully believe in the product. If you are doing network marketing for a company whose product you don’t trust, then leave immediately. Having a good product is not optional.
2. Realize that recruiting is your main job.
Recruiting other network marketers is the real way you earn money. Making connections is the only way you’ll be able to succeed at this job. Even if you can sell a ton of your product, you won’t see much money until you start recruiting.
3. Realize you are your own “brand”.
In network marketing, you must realize that you are your own brand. Every post on social media you make, and every action you do in public should fall in line of the values of your brand. Nobody wants to be recruited by somebody that constantly posts negative things or seems like they don’t have it all together. Focus on building your brand before building your network marketing company’s brand.
4. Be trustworthy.
Do not lose your friends because you decided to join a network marketing company. Do not take advantage of others misfortune. Realize when to back off and to not sell to others. Do not make every post of yours about your business. Do not be a pushy salesman/woman. Not everybody is going to want to help your business, that is 100% okay.
